3.The Southern Institute of Art and Design

This particular course is a diploma and lasts for 1 year and 2 months. Passing your tenth is enough to let you be a part of this fantastic course. If you are the kind of student who prefers hands-on work as opposed to lectures in a classroom, then it is absolutely ideal for you. It helps not only with the practical side of documentary film making but also with fostering your creativity to another level. Eager film makers can also use this degree to get into a more hard-core course later.

5. B.Sc in Film Making at Whistling woods

Like the option offered by DCOP, this is also a filmmaking course that is not limited to documentary making. However, it deserves a shout out here because it is the most structured undergraduate course seen in this field. It is stretched over a span of three years with different subjects every semester (similar to the B.M.M course we talked about here). With subjects ranging from theoretical studies to practical knowledge, this is one of the most in-depth courses that are available for students who want to study how to make films.
