This software czar was born in Seattle, to a banker mother and an attorney father. William Henry Gates III was one of those handfuls of students who had computer terminals at that point of time. Two years junior to his fellow student Paul Allen, he started developing a passion for computer programming. At first he was considered as brilliant but obnoxious technical wizard, however, he turned out to be the keynote after creating a tic-tac-toe game that rutted the user against the computer.
After years of honing his programming skills, he got into Harvard as a pre-law major. After absorbing most of the time in the lab, eventually he dropped out of the college to focus majorly on creating a new operating system.

In 1975, Bill Gates and Paul Allen called up MITS, the manufacturer of the world’s first PC, and offered them with developing a software program for their company. After getting rewarded for their novelty, they started their own venture and entitled it Micro Soft. Initially a small company in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Microsoft soon turned out to be the focal point of the tech industry. Bill Gates was then famous as an ingenious visionary and a shrewd manager who never endured nonsense or little dissent.
Bill Gates as Philanthropist

Today Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is probably the most authoritative charity in the world. Very few know what inspired Bill into philanthropy. Well, a day when he called his wife, Melinda, he felt quite choked up over the phone. As he had witnessed a first-hand treatment in a TB clinic, he was horrified with the fact that for billions, this disease is a death sentence. As a solution to global poverty and trifling health care, he along with his wife founded a charity foundation called Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. As of now, almost 95% of their enormous estate is held in reserve for the eventual donation to multiple charitable causes.
The Visionary Leader

Bill Gates has always been the true visionary. Without any doubt, apart from just a broad vision, he took his innovations to a whole new dimension with perfect execution. The world’s richest man for almost twenty-two consecutive years was supposed to be a lawyer, but this tech-geek turned it all around (even the world) with his novelties in the tech industry.
“At Microsoft there are lots of brilliant ideas but the image is that they all come from the top – I’m afraid that’s not quite right!” says Bill. Always known for his authoritative guise, this quote shows that Bill never denies complying with his subordinates coming up with great notions. Happy 60th Birthday William!
